Grade 3 - Their paintings are matted and are going up in the halls. Look for them when you come for conferences. They turned out beautiful! They are lively Line and Color Studies they had fun doing.
Grade 5 - They learned about Louis Comfort Tiffany and his contribution to American Art with his stained glass windows. The fifth graders created their own colorful Tiffany-inspired "stained glass" window designs. These will be displayed very soon.
Grade 6 - They are making an Egyptian style design on a foam sheet which will be the 'plate' for printing out their creations.
Grade 7 - They are working on a contour drawing of their shoe and then creating an environment that their shoe will be stepping into. It's an interesting play with the rules of perspective.
Grade 8 - The 8th graders are closing in on finishing their half-face drawings. They are exploring Value(shading) in drawing faces from photos.
