Important News
I had the wonderful idea of promising a new blog every Wednesday and
here it is Friday and I am posting it! Sorry to all of my blog "fans"
that have been eagerly awaiting word about P.E. and Athletics. I am
certain that your child/children inform you about the crazy stuff that
happens in P.E.
Tonight the 5th graders from Mrs. Carlton's
class will have a wonderful story about class. There was a very light
drizzle on the way out to play football so I decided to turn around and
bring them to the gym for "bumping and setting" practice (as a jump
start to the Volleyball unit ahead). The class begged me to continue
to the field for football and being the pushover that I am, we ventured
to the field. We were out for no more than one passing play and the
sky opened up and drenched us. Next time there is a hint of rain, I
will not be listening to the fifth grade forecasters. They are worse
than the ones on the news! Mrs. Donohue's class knew we would be
staying in for P.E. because they were laughing at us from their nice
and dry homeroom.
I am going to order the gym shirts on Wednesday of next week and they should be a few weeks. Until they are in the kids are to wear a t-shirt (other than the one under their uniform) and shorts/sweats.
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you soon. Please feel free to call or write me an e-mail if you have any questions or concerns about P.E., Athletics, or Patrols. R.petersen@highlandcatholic.org or my cell at 952-818-7200. I may not answer the phone during class or if it is after 10:00 at night but feel free to leave me a voicemail and I will get back to you.
