I am the Resource Room Teacher at Highland Catholic School. I love working with the students at Highland Catholic School and sharing their joy of discovery, creativity and accomplishment as they expand their knowledge and explore new ideas in the Resource Room. I believe learning occurs in a welcoming and nurturing environment and strive to provide that for my students as I encourage them to expand their knowledge and try new skills. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities and my Master of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in Curriculum and Instruction—Gifted/Creative/Talented. Prior to teaching at Highland Catholic, I have worked in a variety of Catholic and public schools as a classroom teacher, gifted education coordinator and staff development trainer. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and five children (all Highland Catholic educated). I can also be found knitting, at a car show looking for a 1959 convertible Ford Fairlane, riding a Tilt-a-Whirl, or hopefully, learning to play Mah-jong.
