Second trimester is done and we're on to our last trimester of learning for this year.  Even the students are saying this year has gone so fast! Here are a couple of things we've done recently, and a couple of things that are coming up.

  • Last Friday, the sixth grade went the Animal Humane Center in Golden Valley.  We learned of the many careers that are available if one is interested in pets or wild life.  We also were able to tour the facility and see all the wonderful things they do to help the critters in our lives.
  • We finished our Roman architecture projects -- they're beautiful!  Check next week and we'll have photos of them online
  • This week we have conferences on Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon and evening.  Students, we'd love it if you'd join your parents when they come to conferences.  We'll make you blush, listening to all the good things we have to say about you!  Remember, because of conferences, there's no school on Thursday afternoon or Friday this week.
  • We've been honoring the Lenten season.  In religion class, students are making their own Stations of the Cross booklets and we're also in the midst of a fundraiser for our sister school in Chimbote, Peru.  In this Lenten season especially, it's good to share our prayers and good fortune with those who need it.
  • We continue to gear up for our three day trip to Long Lake Conservation Center in April.  We could still use a couple of dad volunteers though!  Dads, come explore and learn about nature with us!  It's going to be a fun and memorable experience.
