Event/Building Rental Request
EXTRA CURRICULAR SCHOOL USE POLICY
The general policy for facility use outside the normally scheduled school day is as follows:
General Facility Use Procedures for All Programs
1) Use only one designated entrance.
2) DO NOT prop open doors. It is your responsibility to attend the doors and admit only those people who belong to your designated program.
3) Use only the area designated for use. The individual who signed for the building key(s) is responsible for containing the group in the specific area assigned to the group.
4) All youth using the facilities must have constant adult supervision.
5) After the function is concluded the responsible person is required to:
a. Remove trash and check bathrooms for order
b. Make sure everyone is out of the building, all lights are turned off and all doors are secured.
6) Any changes in date or time of your function must be cleared through the office.
Gym Use Regulations
1) Athletic or tennis shoes only. NO black-soled shoes or dress shoes.
2) Replace tumbling mats (if used) to their designated place.
3) The lights in the gymnasium are on a timer and are set to go on and off based on the use of the gym. Please do not turn lights on or off in the gym!
4) Dry mop floor when finished. (Please ask where to find the mop before the function.)
5) NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES in the gymnasium.
6) If you require use of specific equipment, please contact the office or Heidi Hilliard, Athletic Director.
Cafeteria / Kitchen Use
1) Please contact office if you need specific equipment or setup of either area. You may be asked to setup for your program and return moved items to their original place.
2) All surfaces must be cleaned after use. This includes tables, counters, appliances, sinks, floors and utensils.
3) All trash must be removed and placed in the dumpster located west of the garage.
4) Replace any plastic trash bags that are removed.
Classroom Use
1) Only classrooms requested and approved may be used.
2) If you change the original setup of the classroom, it must be returned to its original design.
3) Clean all surfaces, and vacuum floor. (Please ask where to find a vacuum before the function.)
*** School programs will have the right to use the facilities first. If you find a school program using the space you requested, please contact the office and an alternative space will be arranged. Highland Catholc School has many requests for use of the building after regular school hours, please be considerate of others.
***People misusing their keys will be asked to turn them in and their organization's functions will be cancelled.
